So with this project, we had an old antique dresser that was just falling apart.. I made the decision to just pull it apart and keep the wood for later use. Then one day – I thought to myself, wouldn’t it look cool to re-create the face of a dresser and mount it to the wall as a coat rack? Well that’s just what I did, began cutting the wood, but didn’t sand it too much. I wanted to leave some character of what it once was, so leaving some of the dents and scratches seemed fitting to me. I also left specs of the previous whitewash finish on it and restrained it with mahogany. Lastly, replaced some of the knobs with coat hooks and it looks marvelous, a great way to re-use something old…
